<p>We know that a number of the issues above relate to sleep.</p>
<p>How can you fall asleep fast if you&#8217;re worried and anxious about things?</p>
<p><a title="sleep solutions" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">Sleep solutions</a> are only useful if they address how to fall asleep, how to sleep better and are <a title="natural sleep aids" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">natural sleep aids</a>.</p>
<p>Now before you watch&#8230;  here&#8217;s my personal story on how a neurological re-balance, similar to this process,  changed one aspect of my life quite dramatically &#8211; about 22 years ago.</p>
<p>I used to be a reading dyslexic, falling asleep or not actually comprehending what I was reading.  When I tried to study at school I would either get really bored, <a title="fall asleep fast" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">fall asleep</a>, or find myself reading the same 2 paragraphs over and over again&#8230; to get the meaning.  I just didn&#8217;t register.  I didn&#8217;t read a whole book <span style="text-decoration: underline;">ever</span> until I was about 29 years old.    Yes, even through my university years.</p>
<p>And for those of you who are thinking that dyslexia relates to jumbling up numbers it&#8217;s not always about that (though that certainly does sound like dyslexia).</p>
<p>My numbers were fine &#8211; in fact, I think it was BECAUSE I was quite intelligent in other areas, like maths (topping the class in a number of subjects) that no-one ever found out my problem.</p>
<p>And back then (before twitter and facebook!) &#8211; alternative health was marginalized (not like now where everyone who&#8217;s anyone is looking closer at what is offering).</p>
<p>It was a wacky looking neurological re-balance like this that fixed my reading dyslexia.  (And by the way it was Geraldine Gallagher, one of the featured <a title="sleep experts" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">sleep experts</a>, who knew exactly what I needed to do in order to start reading properly).</p>

<p>If I hadn&#8217;t experienced benefits for many years from people trained in how our neurology works, I wouldn&#8217;t believe a word of any of this.  There&#8217;s nothing logical to the untrained person about this.</p>

<p>PS.   For people who think they might also be a reading dyslexic, other signs are not being about to ride a 2 wheeler bike, and being annoyed by slow walkers (you want to walk fast, they want to walk slowly).  It was the movement of my eyes from left to right continually, that &#8216;switched off&#8217; my system and made me want to fall asleep, or &#8216;not engage&#8217;.  There is also a connection between allergies and dyslexia, another thing to consider.  There are opportunities to find <a title="sleep solutions" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">sleep solutions</a> when you investigate your allergies and <a title="food intolerance" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">food intolerances</a>.</p>

<p>Sue Dengate also reported that MSG had been implicated (along with a number of other artificial substances) in a case of a child who suffered from sleep apnea and snoring.</p>
<p>So there are a number of reasons not to eat MSG.</p>
<p>When making this decision, be very mindful of the variety of words and descriptions that are used by manufacturers and fast food outlets.</p>
<p>e.g. apart from the descriptions and names mentioned in the video above they can also include</p>
<ul>
<li>flavour enhancer 621,</li>
<li>hydrolysed/formulated,</li>
<li>vegetable/plant/soy protein</li>
<li>HVP, HPP</li>
<li>yeast extract/s</li>
<li>broth</li>
</ul>
<p>And THEN there are the additives that are used to <strong>enhance the flavour enhancer</strong> MSG&#8230;  hmmm  now there is a new slant on it!</p>
<p>So watch out for 627 and 631 &#8211; E627 and E631.</p>

<p>Organic food might be the only way for some people to safely know that they are avoiding all chemicals. </p>
<p>We won&#8217;t go into the discussions as to whether all &#8216;organic&#8217; labelling is fine&#8230;  but rather consider the broad idea that at least we know that with truly organic food, we might find <a title="the cure for insomnia" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">the cure for insomnia</a>, or at least one of them.</p>

<p>Especially if certain food intolerances are your specific (and possibly ONLY?! problem).</p>

<p>Rod Sherwin is an Energy Therapist with over 8 years experience helping people create change in their life. </p>

<p>It&#8217;s the simplicity of EFT that confounds most people, because it isn&#8217;t logical at all&#8230; but it works.</p>
<p>So you have to embrace the unknown, put your left brain to sleep for a while, and learn how to move beyond anxiety, stress and bad emotional feelings.</p>
<p>Now I didn&#8217;t say out of your comfort zone.  It&#8217;s within everyone&#8217;s comfort zone!  In fact, it&#8217;s so easy I don&#8217;t know why everyone&#8217;s not doing it.  </p>
<p>There&#8217;s nothing<em> new</em> about these disciplines either. </p>
<p>Meridian theory was catalogued by Huang Ti approximately 4,500 year ago.  The work has continued since then, with major &#8217;westernisation and modernisation&#8217; in the 1960s coming from George J Goodheart, founder of applied kinesiology.</p>
<p>John Diamond M.D., DPM, FRANZCP, MRCPsych, FIAPM, DIBAK was the guy to link the meridian system to emotions.  (He graduated as a doctor from Sydney University in 1957, and received his diloma in Psychological Medicine in 1962). </p>
<p>The other &#8217;father&#8217; in this area is Dr Roger J Callaghan who began the discipline Thought Field Therapy (TFT) roughly 30 years ago, who states even now, that his favourite breakthrough is &#8216;psychological reversal&#8217;.</p>
<p>EFT, the work commenced by Gary Craig,  is a simple to learn and self-apply form of “emotional acupressure” that you can use to ease the stress, fears, worries and anxiety keeping you from getting the <a title="sleep better" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">great night’s sleep</a> you deserve.</p>
<p>And there are techniques included in the webinar that you can use, lying in bed, without moving much, to help you when you wake up anxious in the night.</p>

<p>Our special guest this week, Geraldine Gallagher, is a Sydney kinesiologist, practitioner and instructor of kinesiology programs, both in Australia and overseas.  Gallagher has expolored many modalities and now teaches Neuro-training programs, mentors practitioners, and has presented conference papers in Australia, Italy, Belgium, England and Ireland.  Gallagher has studied homeopathy, is a qualified Master Practitioner of NLP and was the president of the Kinesiology Association of NSW for 5 years.  She has authored two successful programs Creative Nutrition and Essence of Change.</p>
<p>Twenty four years in clinical practise has enabled her to research a unique range of flower and gem essences specifically focused on overcoming common problems related to change (including stress and <a title="sleep" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">sleep</a>) and they have a direct link to the ancient Chinese philosophy through the hexagrams of the I Ching.</p>
<p>This was a fascinating night with Geraldine, a long-time personal friend of mine.</p>
<p>Her understanding of sleep includes information on the two nervous systems (entheric and autonomic) and their relationship to melatonin and serotonin, the part the vagus nerve plays and the essences she has personally developed to <a title="help with sleep" href="http://www.sleepwiththeexperts.com/sleeping" target="_blank">help with sleep</a>, stress, change, motivation, and many other aspects of life.</p>
